Class Descriptions

Below you will find more information on the classes on our drop-in schedule!

Vinyasa yoga links a student's breath to an organized flow of yoga asanas (or the physical yoga postures).

Each class is creatively sequenced by our teachers - no class is the same!

As an all-levels vinyasa class, both the beginner student and advanced practitioners can practice together, building off of foundational yoga postures, sun salutations and pranayama to create a holistic mind-body practice.

All-Levels Vinyasa

Yoga for Beginners dives into the foundations of yoga. We cover the basics of an asana practice (the physical postures/movements of yoga) while integrating pranayama, or breathwork.

Some classes make incorporate workshop-style teachings while others continue to follow a beginners flow, teaching you about yoga from the ground up in an easy going, open environment!

Ujjayi breath is often taught in our Yoga for Beginners classes, helping to prepare students to join an All-Levels Vinyasa Yoga class at Upala.

Yoga for Beginners

A gentle, slow flow yoga practice that focuses on balance, posture. This is a great practice for those with mobility and balance challenges.

Gentle Yoga Flow

Restorative Meditation combines restorative yogic practices with meditation, pranayama, mantras, guided visualizations, mindful body awareness, mindfulness, and progressive muscle relaxation.

Restorative Meditation is open to students of all levels and abilities and can be modified to be practiced in a chair.
